Puffer fish.
Japanese, a very dangerous delicacy. Fish containing tetrodotoxin is one of the most powerful poisons in the world. Even a small drop can shake our nervous system, as well as internal organs, and lead to a complete painful death. The worst thing, however, is that the poison does not reach the brain, thereby keeping the dying person fully conscious. Tetroditosine is about a hundred times more toxic than cyanide, and the victim usually dies 4 to 24 hours after ingestion. If the body fights and survives for 24 hours, the person usually recovers completely. So far, scientists have not found an antidote. Therefore, the cook preparing the puffer fish must be extremely precise and careful.
The poison is contained only in some organs that need to be removed after evisceration, but most of it is in the liver. The removal of organs should be very careful, because if a drop of poison gets on the fish meat, it becomes fatal. To be able to prepare a fugue, you must complete a three-year course under the supervision of masters, ending with an exam and the issuance of a special certificate. The best blowfish are those that live in the wild, but at the same time contain the most poison. There are farms where there is a puffer completely devoid of poison, and they are more often chosen by tourists.
